Advance Brand Consulting is currently engaged with some of the world’s largest sports leagues and organizations, as well as sports-related brands. Additionally, the company is advising several major cities in achieving their long-term goals for sport, major events and conventions.
Advance Brand Consulting was founded by Mike Hopper, who has worked at the intersection of sports and government for nearly 20 years.
Mike has previously worked for the New York Yankees, led the Advance team for the former Mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg, and directed New York City’s Sports Marketing department (Sports Commission).
He was responsible for organizing NYC’s winning bids for the 2013 MLB All Star Game and Super Bowl XLVIII (48), as well as providing oversight of the city's 2015 NBA All Star Game bid. Additionally, he has been involved in bids for the Olympic Games, Sport Federation championships and has created new events and competitions.
